The GC Effective Mediation – Focused Commercial Mediation approach was developed by Adv. Gil Cohen. The idea for the method was developed after many years of experience as a commercial lawyer (Adv. Cohen was certified in 1995) advising businessmen, advising on commercial disputes and seeing through a wide range of commercial transactions. The following are some details about Adv. Gil Cohen. Adv. Cohen advises a large range of companies. Amongst his clientele we find start-up firms at the beginning of their commercial life, as well as publicly listed companies. Adv. Cohen specialises in commercial law, including ongoing advice to companies, both Israeli and foreign, litigation of a business / commercial nature, including under company law, antitrust law, private international law, commercial petitions to the Supreme Court sitting as the High Court of Justice, and class actions. Adv. Cohen has represented a wide range of clients in negotiations and dealings with the various authorities, including vis-à-vis the Antitrust Commissioner, and the Ministry of Finance. Adv. Cohen qualified as a mediator in Goma. Adv. Cohen completed his undergraduate LL.B. at UCL, University of London, and completed an LL.M. at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem graduating with distinction (cum laude).
